Gisteren zag ik een vrouw een selfie nemen voor een gebouw. Na enig nadenken stapte ik op haar af en vroeg haar of ze een foto van haar wilde maken. Er ontstond een kort gesprek - de vrouw was blij met mijn interactie. Ze was een Japanse stewardess. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is een voorbeeld van mijn \"\u00e9\u00e9n vraag regel\" voor interacties met andere mensen. Als ik met iemand wil praten, stel ik hem \u00e9\u00e9n vraag, of maak ik een opmerking - slechts \u00e9\u00e9n. Ik kijk hoe ze reageren, en of ze ge\u00efnteresseerd (ge\u00ebngageerd) zijn in het gesprek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zo geef ik hen en mezelf de kans om zich te engageren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veel mensen zijn verlegen en willen de eerste stap niet zetten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naast die eerste vraag forceer ik de dialoog niet - als ik merk dat de ander niet echt betrokken is, of liever niet verder praat - dan stop ik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In veel gevallen is het verrassend welke gesprekken zich kunnen ontwikkelen. Ik heb tijdens mijn reis door Australi\u00eb met veel verschillende mensen gesproken, en dat heeft de reis rijker gemaakt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
