Clever phishing attack

This attack works using my Name (as a CEO of my company), and pretends that I have a conversation with a supplier where an invoice is overdue already (adding urgency).

Then it is forwarded to an email account we use for accounting (it’s interesting they were able to get ahold of, or guess the e-Mail address).

As I monitor the e-Mail account personally, the attack is not successful. However, modern AI / LLM generated attacks can appear much more similar to what an actual CEO might write, and they are hyperpersonalized – therefore we will need to devise systems for trust and understanding where a message actually came from, and whether the instructions are legitimate.
